English Language Arts Instruction

The Cortland Enlarged City School District remains committed to the success of every learner.  Our English Language Arts program is aligned to New York State Learning Standards and is based on research about learning to read, write, speak, listen, present, and view. 

Note: New York is working on a revision of the NYS Learning Standards. A draft of those revisions is available, now, and should be considered when identifying the essentials for our courses.
